Role Purpose

Summer 2027 intern position working independently and in cross functional teams, participates in the design, engineering, procurement, installation, start up, commissioning and handover of electrical systems such as:

  • Switchgear
  • Transforms
  • Short Circuit Studies
  • ARC Flash modeling
  • FAT/SAT of electrical equipment

 

Role within Group:

The successful incumbent can be expected to fill the following roles:

  • Design/Engineering
  • ARC Flash Modeling
  • Project Documentation
  • Task Leader
  • System Commissioning/Troubleshooting

Key Responsibilities

On a daily basis the incumbent in this position will be expected to:

  • Create or document design parameters
  • Design of electrical systems
  • Create ARC Flash models.
  • Manage project documentation

Hours of work/Travel

  • M-F; business hours
  • Some scheduling flexibility available
  • Duration: Summer 2027
  • Some travel may be required for this position. The amount depends on the project location and scope.   

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Capable of domestic travel
  • Junior in bachelor’s Electrical Engineering program or higher

Desired Skills

  • Prior Industrial or Intern experience
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience
  • Computer (Microsoft Office) experience
  • Arc Flash modeling
  • Maturity, common sense, and practicality
  • Organized and methodical

Soft Skills Desired

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact and work with others in a team environment across work groups, payrolls and cultures

​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
