Role Purpose

Develop and deploy machine vision and PC-based control solutions that enable real-time inspection and closed-loop control in automated manufacturing systems, with a strong focus on scalability and manufacturability.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement machine vision systems for in-process inspection across automated production equipment.
  • Integrate vision solutions with PC-based controls and automation platforms.
  • Partner with mechanical, process, and systems engineers to ensure inspection solutions support production needs.
  • Support commissioning, tuning, and long-term optimization of vision and control systems.
  • Ensure solutions are designed for repeatable deployment across manufacturing environments.

 

Required Experience & Attributes

  • Strong technical depth in vision systems and software-based controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence system design through technical expertise.
  • Experience moving inspection technologies from development into production use.
  • Focus on building solutions that scale beyond a single application.
  • Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs. International travel could be required as well. 

 

Preferred Capabilities

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in machine vision, controls engineering, or industrial automation. Will consider less years of experience with advanced degree.

The range for this position is $112,902.00 - $155,240.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
