The Digital Product Manager is a key member of our digital team, working closely with the business product owner, developers, data scientists, analysts and domain experts to deploy custom software applications built with our digital application platforms. Your work is crucial to our global digital transformation efforts because it helps deliver actionable insight, leverage agile methodologies to create value more effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible to own Product implementations leveraging agile practices and the value delivery teams, in the spaces of advanced analytics, toolchain and application development platforms to incorporate enterprise data and workflow information, interact with other enterprise systems and present this information to users that need it. Agile software development knowledge is crucial to this role, including working as part of a multi-functional agile development team, contributing to UX design, some hands on frontend & backend development, some data architecture, knowledge of SQL and data engineering, API use, distributed version control with Git, automated testing, continuous integration and continuous deployment.


As a Digital Product Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Set the overall vision/strategy for the value to be delivered (the product
  • Defines, owns and documents the roadmap for the product.
  • Responsible for working with the businesses/customers to ensure the Product Backlog follows their vision and the value that is delivered by the product and is in alignment with the business and roadmap.
  • Work with team members that are distributed and/or in other regions than their own and is held accountable for ensuring the end-to-end delivery of the product.
  • Lead a series of MVPs ‘Pod Teams’ in the design & development, testing, and deployment of custom applications using a variety of application frameworks and systems
  • Work directly with the business product owner or become the product owner in some cases to support business requirements
  • Provide direction for the technical app development teams working on these custom applications and platform integrations
  • Participate in architecture and software development activities
  • Translate loosely defined requirements into solutions
  • Facilitate debug of MVP issues across services, at all component levels
  • Use our agile toolchain service offering for your day-to-day activities and work to continually improve it


Education, Experience, and Licensing:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study
  • Certification in major cloud infrastructure provider and/or CNCF related technologies
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with agile software development in a variety of languages, such as Python, .NET/C#, Go, Java, JavaScript/Node.JS
  • A minimum of 5 years working with data and architecture of data systems


Technical Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in each of the following areas:
    • Application software design patterns and software architecture
    • Data architecture design patterns
    • functional programming techniques as needed and programmatic SQL for data access
  • Proficiency with agile software development tools including Git (preferably Gitlab), Jira, CI/CD and technical documentation tools
  • Proficiency with agile work practices in settings involving multiple development teams, cross-functional team members and both local and remote participants with diverse backgrounds and experience

  • Demonstrate a passion for working as a champion on behalf of a business to deliver a MVP and products that provide tangible value to the business
  • Demonstrated ability to present products, train and champion digital to a large organization
  • Demonstrated curiosity and an ability to learn new skills on an ongoing, sustained basis
  • Demonstrated systems perspective when analyzing problems, thinking about overall operation, failure modes and how to address these problems proactively
  • A strong sense for the importance of documentation, and the importance of not having to learn things twice
  • Ability lead an agile product team environment and balance a diverse set of stakeholder requests
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to break down complex technical systems to help business partners understand the value
  • Strong technical collaboration and communication skills as well as the ability to drive cultural change and adoption of best practices through community participation
  • Ability to collaborate with other teams across the company, defining technology roadmaps, sharing experiences and lessons learned for continual improvement
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Process-oriented with great documentation skills
