Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and prioritizes plant manager’s schedule; adjusts priorities with changing circumstances.
- Coordinates tours for customers, suppliers, educational and government entities
- Maintains admin calendar, distribution groups and share drives for the Diesel Plant
- Manages confidential and proprietary information with discretion and sound judgment
- Maintains the plant organization chart, plant lists and other documents related to personnel movement within the facility as well as new employee onboarding and interviewing
- Coordinates conference rooms and plant meetings such as Koffee Klatch, Communication Meetings and Safety Trainings
- Communicates internally and externally to the plant. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information on matters of moderate importance to the organization and often sensitive in nature
- Coordinates, schedules and attends weekly staff meetings
- Provides information regarding plant policies, forms and procedures; maintains electronic records
- Schedules appointments, meetings and travel arrangements for plant manager and staff
- Updates reports, graphs and presentations
- Manages signature requirements for the plant manager
- Coordinate plantwide events
Experiences/Education - Required
- AAS degree in business
- >5 years administrative experience with strong computer skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
- Strong administrative & organizational skills
- Strong in Microsoft Office and analytics
- Detail oriented with focus on error-free work
- Maintains high level of confidentiality
- Flexible in work style and interaction with others; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Able to recommend changes in methods or procedures
- Must be able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic
- Self-motivated and forward looking

The range for this position is $45,538.00 - $62,615.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
