Scope of Position:

Process Technician on the Manufacturing Excellence Team, an operations group. This team supports a variety of green-end production activities with a focus on equipment health, die & hardware management, and process troubleshooting & improvements.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead die management activities including forecasting, vendor management, orders, service, drawings, footage inventory, and financials.
  • Continuously develop understanding of die manufacturing and technologies as the site SME.
  • Work with engineering, trades, and operations to implement equipment improvements.
  • Support manufacturing activities such as job changes and new product introductions.
  • Work with engineering and trades to troubleshoot production equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering to solve process issues and support experimentation.

 

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime and off hours support as needed.

 

Travel Requirements: None (0%); with potential for training or vendor visits.

 

Required Experience/Education:

  • 2-year degree in a technical field preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience as a process technician or related manufacturing experience; five (5) years manufacturing experience in lieu of associates degree.
  • Fully proficient in the use of software programs such as MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working with internal and external vendors or customers.

 

 Desired Skills:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and ability to perform basic data analysis or interpret technical data.
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and/or processes.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills and a strong record of increased job responsibility.
  • Operationally focused with a strong reliance on process controls.
  • Familiarity with extrusion or die technology is highly desirable, but not required.
  • Technical writing experience a plus (documents, presentations, reports).

  • Technical curiosity and self-motivated.
  • Proactive in identifying and independently resolving problems.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple workstreams.
