The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position

The purpose of this position is to engage in projects of varying sizes, collect requirements from RD&E business partners, document processes and capabilities, and create solutions. The role involves working with legacy and next-generation systems such as ERP, MES, and LIMS (Harvest), Tech Reports and utilizing tools like M365 (Power Platform, SPO, CoPilot…) Kairos and Gitlab. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with RD&E team and business partners to gather project requirements.
  • Conduct process mapping exercises to identify areas for improvement and development.
  • Analyze gathered requirements and develop innovative solutions.
  • Familiarize with business legacy and next-gen systems (ERP, MES, LIMS, RTR) to understand their functionalities and integration possibilities.
  • Utilize Power Apps and Gitlab for solution development and project management.
  • Develop digital automated solutions where it is possible to eliminate busy work and increase efficiency of the team and users.
  • Collaborate with BEIT, Computing Technologies and Corporate IT Teams to align solutions that leverage standard/reusable services where possible.
  • Collect demand and ensure it is included in the resource planning process

Experiences/Education - Required

  • ​​​​​​Bachelor's Degree Information Systems, Business Management or other technically relevant field
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional end-user and project experiences. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, including Agile methodology knowledge
  • Experience communicating in written and verbal form
  • Proficient in tools/skills utilized such as Power Platform, GitLab, Confluence, Figma, Silica
  • Familiarity with security practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Business Analysis skills including development of RTM documentation
  • Python, REACT, .Net or  other relevant modern coding skills

Experiences/Education - Desired

The range for this position is $74,625.00 - $102,610.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
