Scope of Position: This position requires strong technical skills related to electrical, RF and microwave metrology using both off-the-shelf and internally-developed measurement systems. The individual will design and execute experiments, document experimental results in reports and publications. Candidate will analyze experimental results to solve technical problems or provide fundamental understanding. The qualified candidate will serve as expert in electrical measurements for internal customers. Day to


Day Responsibilities: • Performing hands-on measurements for characterization of electrical properties of materials and devices. • Design and develop new experimental setup and techniques. • Provide maintain equipment and experimental setups in the laboratory • Document and present experiment data in technical reports.


Travel requirements: <10% nominal

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday


Education and Experience: M.S in EE or related field preferred


Required Skills: • 1+ years of experience with electronic instrumentations such as network analyzer, digital multimeter, power supply, oscilloscope handling and measurements • Strong knowledge in area of metrology and materials physical properties. • Hands – on lab experience with equipment and material testing. • Communicate effectively to the lab team about experimental setup, and data analysis • Technical excellence – self-motivated/ driven and result oriented • Technical problems solving experience, critical thinking, and data-based decision-making skills. • Familiar with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint


Desired Skills: • Basic knowledge of electrical properties of materials • Knowledge of materials science and general physic principles • Data analysis skills with Excel or other software packages • Lab View and/or Visual Basic programming skills


Soft Skills: • Time management and multitasking. • Comfortable with hands-on approach to problem solving • Self-starter, demonstrated ability to initiate technical work • Team skills and customer support orientation.
