Role Purpose
This position is in the Sullivan Park Operations Directorate, within the Laboratory Services Management & Engineering (LSME) Department. The primary function of the department is to provide support for R&D activities by providing professional services in project management, infrastructure engineering, and laboratory space management.
This position is responsible for database administration and oversight of Sullivan Park Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) – Maximo. This system supports the operation and maintenance of critical facility infrastructure systems. This is a technical individual contributor position with a focus on the support of safe operation, reliability, and sustainability of laboratory infrastructure equipment and processes through Maximo.
A key function of this job is customer interfacing, knowledge and understanding of customer’s processes and needs, consulting with multiple customers, maintaining good customer relationships, and providing the customer with the most effective support. This position also maintains strong relationships with corporate MTE groups that support Maximo deployment across the company, and attends various user/administrator networking sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety
- Responsible for ensuring personal safety

- Participate and support the department’s safety initiatives
- Document Control and Support
- Administer and have oversight of Sullivan Parks Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) database - Maximo
- Maintain Maximo CMMS data integrity
- Audit system for accuracy
- Train employees in use and access to Maximo CMMS
- Network with other Corning plant’ and Maximo administrators
- Project & System Support Related to Maximo CMMS
- Provide Maximo CMMS data and equipment numbers to PM and design teams as requested
- Support the LSME Laboratory Exhaust Inspection Program in Maximo
- Build reports for customers in Maximo
- Support project turnover, closeout, and receivership.
- Provide field assessments and identification of assets to be included in Maximo
- Coordination of Written Processes and Procedures
- Facilitate and support written processes & procedures for Maximo
- Develop, administer and sustain S&T LSME CMMS procedures
- Sustain S&T Exhaust Inspection Program in Maximo
Experiences/Education - Required
- Associates Degree in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Engineering, IT or related discipline
- 6+ years of experience with CMMS administration or equivalent
- Knowledge of CMMS Maximo
- Experience with and understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance philosophies.
- Competency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
- Acquainted with Computer databases
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks independently
- Work cross functionally
- Preparation of teaching materials for presentation and documentation purposes
- Able to lead others in systems documentation such as; Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical specifications, Program/System Documentation, etc.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Knowledge of OSI Pi
- Understand basic computer code
- Basic understanding of Process Control and Process Discipline concepts
- Ability to read system drawings (schematics)
- Able to successfully communicate benefit of adoption of best practices to users.
- Skilled with share drive, SharePoint
- Understanding of DARM requirements

The range for this position is $70,662.00 - $97,160.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
