Scope of Position: As our Software Development UI/UX Engineer in the IOX metrology development group, your responsibilities will consist of software interface development for glass stress metrology. You will ensure best practices with user interface and user experience. This will involve long term dedication to project commitments and potential travel.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve existing user interfaces/experience in Winforms, WPF & MVVM.Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows
  • Assists in developing, testing and deploying software used in contract manufacturing/finishing
  • Identify and solve UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images

 

Travel Requirements: Your travel will be 10-20% with some international travel

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:

  • Monday - Friday; 8am -5pm; Flexibility available

 

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree in related. Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Front end development experience: 2 or more years (Preferred)

 

Required Skills

  • Software development experience with .NET languages (C#, VB, Object oriented programming).
  • Experience with MVVM and WPFSource control systems (e.g., GIT and SVN)Proven record of delivering UI components with excellent usability
  • Ability to work independently, in situations where information or understanding is lacking.
  • Forward-thinking to be able to quickly isolate issues, find the pertinent information, and apply the correct solutions.
  • Ability and motivation to independently learn new things to meet corporate and customer requirements.
  • Self-Starter. Motivated to identify problems and develop solutions independently.
  • Track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.

 

Desired Skills

  • .NETC#VBObject Oriented Programming
  • Agile / Collaborative Method
  • Experience with CD/CI.
  • Highly refined, strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
