Role Purpose
Working within the Gorilla glass reliability group to support reliability development programs and fundamental understanding of material behavior. This includes supporting key customer requests and internal projects, executing mechanical testing, product qualification, and design of experiments (DOEs). You will also routinely support test execution, metrology data collection and summarization, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute mechanical test and assist with coordination of DOEs, product qualification, and fundamental understanding.
- Perform analysis/inspections/processing pre- and post-tests.
- Support scientists with generating requests for testing and analysis.
- Develop new tests based on customer requirements to reach program objectives
- Generate/maintain documentation (Period reports, SOPs, safety documents, 5S.)
- Understanding onsite and offsite storage logistics to be able to send and retrieve items as needed.
- Participate on development project teams.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized and attention to details
- Ability to conduct mechanical tests and summarize data
- Good planning and time management skills
- Ability to execute and track detailed DOEs, analyze and relate metrology results to process conditions/material design
- Ability to utilize test request submission systems.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited day-to-day guidance
- Ability to track multiple workstreams and work in a fast-paced environment under stringent deadlines
- Ability to work and collaborate effectively across cultures and functional groups
- Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite).
- Comfortable working with personnel at different levels (scientists, engineers, subject matter experts)
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience in mechanical testing
- Experience in programming and user interface development

The range for this position is $70,421.00 - $96,829.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
