Systems Design Engineer

Corning Incorporated seeks Systems Design Engineer to work at its Painted Post, NY location. Will evaluate after-treatment product performance, via experiments & simulations, to measure press drop, filtration, ash storage, regeneration, & durability; execute lab, dyno, vehicle, and engine tests on environmental technologies products; understand test objectives, track results, & provide feedback for data collection; perform data analysis and interpret results; summarize findings for use internally & w/ customers; develop tools for customers to implement our products. Incidental domestic travel. Required: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related.  Prior work experience w/ or academic exposure to: internal combustion engine dynamometer testing; emissions measurement equipment for combustion exhaust applications; & exhaust after-treatment system components (i.e. diesel particulate filters or oxidation catalysts).
