HR Manager

 

 

Corning is seeking a HR professional for the role of Plant HR Manager for the Corning Pontchateau plant.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Identify and prioritize the plant ́s current and future talent requirements of the plant which effect operational objectives   
  • Ensures client group has the right number and type of talent required to execute organization strategy and achieve desired business results
  • Cooperate with managers to identify employees’ development gaps and implement targeted development plans that addresses these gaps in a timely manner
  • Maintain performance management and reward processes / practices to drive required levels of employee accountability for performance results and ensure retention of talents
  • Point of contact for all topics around employee relations including works council and unions
  • Coach managers and supervisors in developing, implementing, and maintaining a positive work environment
  • Manage training and development activities including training needs analysis, training plan development and deployment
  • Manage & maintain programs to support a strong talent pipeline

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

  • Experienced HR professional
  • Fundamental knowledge of French labor law
  • Solid understanding of French social insurance system related to payroll & tax
  • Able to work with a new team, providing guidance and support to more junior HR professionals
  • Working proficiency in French and English (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organization Development, labor relations or equivalent

This role is a fixed term contract for up to 1.5 years
