Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

 

For our business activities in France, we are currently looking for a

 

Key Account Manager Orange (m/f/d)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate needs and identify technical solutions to be developed necessary for the market development of Orange Group.
  • Maintaining relationships and satisfaction with existing customers – Properly demo and quote desired products (making accurate calculations), follow up all customers enquiries.
  • Create new and deepen existing customer relationships to support growth and increase Corning’s footprint in assigned territory.
  • Develop and establish strategies to expand the account - Create new business opportunity pipeline.
  • Provide market intelligence and voice of customer to other functional departments.
  • Support regional marketing and market-communication events.
  • Ensure adherence to Corning’s business processes and all other relevant policies and regulations • Support the Director in all specifically assigned tasks and duties.
  • Define and implement common objectives to deploy the products across the entire Orange group.
  • Set conditions to facilitate the use of Corning products and enhance technical solutions.
  • Facilitate interactions between various stakeholders from Corning and the Orange group in the same field.
  • Communicate internally at Corning the end user´s requirements to propose an adapted and optimized service offer.
  • Negotiate variation in price, delivery and specifications with hierarchy.
  • Observe and evaluate current and future market dynamics and trends (products, competitors, customers).
  • Report of sales activities.
  • Achieve / share sales targets for Orange France and affiliates.
  • Tight and regular opportunity management using SFDC and target account selling (TAS) tools (as needed) as main means of the reporting / forecasting processes.
  • Ensure coordination and alignment of local sales managers in the EMEA region.
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications/Business and/or 3-5 years of appropriate commercial and technical experience in French telecommunication sector.
  • Should be bi-lingual (French / English).
  • Ability to travel nationally (>50%) and sometimes internationally.
  • Strong demonstrable ability to work independently and deliver outputs without close supervision.
  • Knowledge and access to the Orange organization.
  • Solid technical and business acumen with the ability to present and sell solutions in a business context.
  • “Hands-on” technical capabilities are an advantage.
  • Ability to interface with C-Level executives, management and technical decision makers.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Hunting attitude, track record of success against quota.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment (home office).
  • Team player spirit with high level of integrity.
  • A result-driven self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Knowledge of commonly used software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SFDC).
  • Superior presentation, communication, management and negotiation skills.
