Day to Day Responsibilities: (must to fill)

Safety

  • Emphasize safety in daily operation by strict adherence to applicable codes and standards. Comply with all government regulations with regards to facilities, utilities, etc.
    Trouble shooting
  • Conduct equipment daily troubleshooting and problem solving to support the production in electrical/controls areas.
  • Complete follow up actions required from production/safety/environment audits.
    Preventive Maintenance
  • Set up the Planned Maintenance standard then train/transfer to maintenance team.
  • Collect necessary equipment information prior to developing preventive maintenance plan.
  • Develop weekly/monthly/yearly maintenance schedule on electrical/controls to minimize equipment downtime.
    Spare Parts Management
  • Responsible for spare parts management related to the assigned area.
  • Localization initiative. 
     
     
     
    People Development
  • Provide job related training for electrical technician & electricians. Take responsibility for building and improving the technical strength of the maintenance team in electrical/control areas.
  • Attend training related to the assigned area. Become thoroughly knowledgeable in the production and process equipment for whole plant.
  • Project skill.

 

Continuous Improvement and project management

  • Analyze the equipment performance of the assigned area and drive the improvement plan.
  • Use Corning tools to make sure the improvement is rational.
  • Responsible for new equipment entry and change management.
  • Lead or support Capital and PEX projects to improve the cost, capacity, delivery and quality.
  • Follow Corning project management system, achieve the project performance goal.
  • Join in TPM activities, provide the training and the professional recommendation on improvement.
  • Contractor management and cost control.
     
  • Project Planning:
  • Establish clear project plan for the whole project lifecycle.
  • Project Initiation:
  • Collect the requirement.
  • Lead the business case analysis to demonstrate the feasibility.
  • Deploy new technology equipment transfer and upgrade.
  • Lead to define the project scope: Specification for production and service equipment purchasing and service terms associated.
  • Involve in vendor selection and quotation.
  • Project Implementation:
  • Supervise the installation and debugging of new/upgraded equipment.
  • Project Closure:
  • Review and update all drawings, machine specifications, and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedure) associated with equipment installation and upgrade.
  • Transfer all the documentation.
  • Develop completed equipment list.
  • Conduct the training of new equipment/process and delivery skill to operators, maintenance technicians, engineers.

 

Requirements: Education & Experience (please state MUST and PLUS requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation or equivalent.
  • 6+ years’ experience on the position of equipment engineering in manufacturing environment, plus 3+ years in multi-national company.
  • Strong record of results for a multi-national company.
  • Experiences in working with and/or supervising project teams.

 

Requirements: Required Skills                                                

  • Equipment engineering, manufacturing systems and technical expertise.
  • Good problem solving/troubleshooting skill and rational thinking.
  • Rich hands-on experiences with production floor equipment.
  • Knowledge of power distributions & equipment controls.
  • Strong PLC & HMI programming skill, Rockwell and Intellution are preferred.
  • Strong equipment drawing with AutoCAD or comparable draft software skill.
  • Fluent in written and oral English.
  • Teamwork
