The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

1. IT Operations & Team Support

  • Assist in the daily coordination of the IT team, including meeting scheduling, meeting minutes, follow-up action, and routine team support.
  • Support the execution of routine operational processes and help keep related documents, records, and materials organized and up to date.
  • Assist in preparing team reports, presentation materials, and other operational summaries as needed.

2. Communication & Training Support

  • Support communication between IT and employees, including IT notices, service announcements, system change reminders, and other user-facing materials.
  • Assist in organizing IT training activities, such as new hire IT onboarding and user training sessions, including coordination, material preparation, and feedback collection.
  • Support internal team communication and help improve the clarity and effectiveness of communication content where appropriate.

3. Team Activity & Leadership Visit Support

  • Support regional IT team activities and engagement events as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating visits by regional or global IT leaders, including meeting arrangements, logistics support, material preparation, and follow-up communication.
  • Provide assistant-style support to IT leadership on daily coordination matters, such as calendar arrangement, travel coordination, expense follow-up, meeting organization, and other practical support as needed.

 

4. General Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Support regional coordination work through email, virtual meetings, and follow-up with stakeholders across locations.
  • Assist with administrative support related to IT orders and goods receipt processes, including basic tracking and record updates.
  • Assist in asset and onboarding/offboarding-related administrative tasks, such as checklist follow-up, record maintenance, and coordination support.
  • Provide other coordination and support tasks assigned by the Regional IT Director and the team. 

Education

  • Bachelor degree or above in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Languages, or other related disciplines preferred.

 

Required Experience

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in coordination, team support, operations support, assistant-style support, training / communication support, or similar roles is preferred.
  • Candidates with relatively shorter experience but strong potential, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude are also welcome.
  • Experience in a multinational company, regional support environment, or remote coordination setting is a plus.
  • Good English communication capability is required.

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills.
