Research Scientist

This position is for a materials scientist/engineer to provide technical leadership in materials compositions and processes research, development and engineering.

 Day to Day Responsibilities:

 -Conduct research, propose and execute experiments and analyze data to test hypotheses and develop solutions

-Build fundamental understanding of material behavior, advanced technical knowledge, data, and statistical tools to improve material performance

-Problem solving through comprehensive understanding on material and processing -Drive the technology innovation to support cost efficient production with improved attributes.

-Collaboration with members of immediate team as well as teams within global research and external academic or industrial experts.

-Balance hands-on work-related activities with technical leadership

-Prepare process and technology transfer documentation.

-Actively file IP and write Internal Reports.

 Education & Experience:

-MS or PhD in materials science or engineering or chemical engineering

 ->5 years of new process/product development experience.

Required Skills:

 -Deep understanding of the physics and chemistry of materials and the relationships between composition, microstructure, and material properties and materials characterization technics

-Knowledge of inorganic (glass, ceramic and composites) processes and process/product

 -Knowledge of rheology, and general viscoelastic properties of materials

-Knowledge of common industrial processes

-Effective communication and presentation skills to all levels in the organization

-Ability to design, build and test novel experiments

-Good at hands-on experimentation, project leadership and problem-solving skills.

 -Self-motivated and could drive the technical move forward;
