Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct mechanical property testing of materials, including strength, hardness, fracture toughness, modulus, and related evaluations.
- Perform sample preparation for mechanical testing and material characterization.
- Carry out material failure analysis and root-cause investigations.
- Conduct compositional and structural characterization using techniques such as IC, FTIR, and other analytical methods as needed.
- Analyze test results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings to project teams and business partners.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and quality requirements.
- Support new method development and continuous improvement of characterization capabilities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with global characterization teams across multiple regions, including the U.S., Korea, and Taiwan, to support research and business objectives
Education & Experience
- Master's degree or above in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Ceramics, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial or research experience preferred.
- Experience in materials characterization, mechanical testing and failure analysis is highly desirable
Experiences/Education - Required
- Strong background in materials science and engineering.
- Hands-on experience in materials, mechanical testing and sample preparation.
- Experience in laboratory characterization techniques and data analysis.
- Capable of independently conducting experiments and interpreting results.
- Skilled in technical report writing and presentations.
- Proficiency in English communication.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience with ceramic, glass, metals, or other advanced material systems.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical testing of materials and fractographic analysis.
- Skilled in advanced sample preparation techniques for glass, ceramics, metals, and related materials.
- Familiar with characterization techniques such as IC, FTIR, and other related analytical methods.
- Experience in developing or implementing new characterization methods.
