Day to Day Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory experiments to support troubleshooting efforts, develop innovative processes, and prototype new products in glass finishing, with a particular focus on glass etching, ion-exchange, cleaning, and mechanical finishing.
- Serve as the primary link between the research team and production units, offering on-site support as needed to enable smooth integration and adoption of lab-developed technologies. Work collaboratively with teams to guarantee the successful implementation of new processes.
- Oversee and manage test requests from various business units, ensuring timely execution of high-priority tasks while contributing to the development of new testing methodologies.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Education: Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Experience: >3 years of R&D experience in inorganic materials. Candidates with experience in glass or ceramic processing will be given preference.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one material surface processing method, such as chemical etching, surface strengthening, precision cleaning, or mechanical finishing.
- Strong skills and mindset in design of experiment (DOE).
- Familiarity with common material characterization techniques, including but not limited to SEM, XRD, and ICP.
Desired Skills
- Pilot or Production Line Experience: Prior experience in pilot-scale processes or production line operations is highly preferred.
- Mechanical, Programming, and Material Simulation Skills: Skills in mechanical work, programming, or material simulation are considered a plus.
- Project Management Experience: Experience in managing projects is an added advantage.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with fluency in both Chinese and English for effective bilingual interaction.
- Demonstrates solid work habits, attention to detail, and adherence to technical ethics.
