System Engineer

Purpose of the Position:
Design in Corning product at heavy duty diesel customers. 
Build technical relationship to create customer preference to Corning. 

Day to Day Responsibilities:
•Build strong technical relationship with customers by technical interactions and providing technical support.
•Design in Corning new product at customers’ projects. Introduce Corning new product value to customers and support customer system development for successful Corning product deployment.
•Build expertise in diesel engine and aftertreatment knowledge in system integration level. 
•Coordinate and conducts as appropriate customer related product evaluation tests, including but not limited to develop testing approach and plan, focus on details, troubleshoot of upcoming testing issues, analyze and interpret testing data, and prepare technical discussions with testing management. Report testing data.
•Understand and track China heavy duty regulation and Non road regulation update, requirement and testing details.

Education & Experience：
•MS degree or above in automotive engineering, chemical engineering, catalyst engineering, or related area. 
•Minimum of three years’ experience in R&D environments
•Background of diesel engine technology is preferred
•Diesel aftertreatment system knowledge is preferred
•Experience with both engine/vehicle testing, calibration and modeling is highly desirable
•Experience of project management is preferred

Required Skills：
•Understanding of internal combustion engines, emissions, and aftertreatment
•Effective project/program management
•Hands-on experimental experience, 
•Rigor in experimental planning and execution as well as data analysis
•Ability to work on multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Desired Skills：
•Good understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals (fluid flow/hydrodynamics, heat transfer, kinetics, reactions)
•Data processing capability (w/ Excel/Matlab) and documentation/reporting of results
