The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Position Summary

The AI Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner supports the facilitation of Scrum teams within Corning. This role works with 1–2 Scrum teams to help schedule and support Scrum ceremonies, track team progress, and encourage continuous improvement. Under the guidance of senior Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches, this role helps reinforce agile values, supports team collaboration, and promotes Corning’s Agile culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of agile sprints using Scrum methodology for 1–2 products at a time
  • Assist in facilitating Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Help Scrum team members understand and apply Scrum practices and agile principles
  • Support removal and escalation of impediments that impact team delivery
  • Encourage continuous learning and improvement within Scrum teams
  • Promote servant leadership behaviors and team collaboration
  • Track agile metrics and help maintain transparency of sprint progress
  • Participate in Scrum Master community of practice sessions and knowledge sharing
  • Support documentation of agile processes, templates, and best practices
  • Collaborate with senior Scrum Masters on larger initiatives as needed
  • Support adoption of agile mindset and practices across delivery teams
  • Stay informed on agile and Scrum practices through training and coaching

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years of experience working on agile teams, project coordination, or software delivery roles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to Scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with Jira, Gitlab, Agile Place or similar agile tools
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and distributed teams
  • Interest in growing an agile or delivery leadership career
