The Engineering Lead is responsible for leading a team of engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable engineering solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Position Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
• Lead design, development, review, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Serve as a technical expert and decision-maker for architecture, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Review designs, calculations, code, or drawings and approve technical deliverables.
Team Leadership & Mentoring
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and/or technicians.
• Allocate work, set priorities, and track progress against milestones.
• Conduct technical reviews, performance feedback, and skill development plans.
• Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Project & Delivery Management
• Work closely with project managers, operations, and stakeholders to define scope and timelines.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure delivery of projects with cost, quality, and performance targets met on time.
• Support estimation, planning, and resource forecasting activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing, quality, IT, procurement, or product management.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Support customer, audit, or regulatory interactions as required.
Process & Continuous Improvement
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and best practices.
• Promote the use of modern tools, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
• Support innovation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
• 8–12 years of experience in Telecommunications operations, network engineering, or process excellence roles.
• 2–4 years of experience in leading process improvement initiatives or technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of telecom industry related engineering
• Successful and proven experience in a technical position within a manufacturing plant
• Demonstrated technical curiosity, ability to learn new processes/technologies, and commitment to and application of the scientific method & Manufacturing Engineering methodology.
• Demonstrated track record of developing others and developing the “next generation” of technical talent.
• Strong safety mindset/ orientation.
• Experience with mechanical-optical devices
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Experience working in a matrix environment, and demonstrated ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups
