Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Hands on experience to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HT & LT power distribution systems, including substations and switchgear.
  • Manage installation, operation, and preventive maintenance of power transformers, ACB/MCCB, and protection systems.
  • Hands-on operation and maintenance of DG sets, VFDs, PLC/SCADA systems, and associated control panels.
  • Oversee fire protection and fire detection systems, ensuring statutory compliance and system reliability.
  • Responsible for maintaining reciprocating and screw air compressors, screw chillers, cooling towers, and associated utilities for equipment reliability and uptime
  • Responsible to ensure optimal environmental conditions by HVAC systems operation and maintenance
  • Support to maintain Water Treatment Plant (WTP) operations and water distribution systems.
  • Ensure energy optimization, power quality improvement, and reduction of downtime.
  • Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory norms, and company policies.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and maintenance records.
  • Support commissioning and execution of brownfield and greenfield projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning activities (added advantage).

 

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Strong focus on electrical safety, LOTO procedures, permit-to-work systems.
  • Participation in HIRA, HAZOP, safety audits, and risk assessments.
  • Compliance with GEP, ISO, and EHS requirements in process plants
  • Participate in incident/near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, including:
  • Electricity Act & Electricity Rules
  • Factories act 1948
  • Local Electrical Inspectorate / CEIG requirements
 

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Own and manage electrical utilities with a hands‑on, safety‑first mindset in a 24×7 continuous operating environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and utilities.
  • Practical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Basic knowledge of energy management and automation systems.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a reputed engineering college.

Experience:

8-10 years of hands-on experience in Utility Operations and Maintenance in industrial/manufacturing environments
