Function/Dept Purpose Statement :
The Facilities Projects Lead is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering facility infrastructure and utility projects associated with new site development (greenfield) and expansion, upgrade, or modification of existing sites (brownfield). This role ensures projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with engineering, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards. The position requires strong technical expertise in industrial facilities, utilities, and building systems, along with effective leadership and cross-functional collaboration to support manufacturing readiness and long-term operational reliability.

Position Responsibilities :
•    Lead end-to-end execution of facilities greenfield and brownfield projects, from concept development, feasibility, and design through construction, commissioning, qualification, and handover
•    Define project scope, user requirements, technical specifications, budgets, schedules, and resource requirements for facility-related brown or green field capital projects
•    Manage the design and implementation of building infrastructure and critical utility systems such as HVAC, electrical, water systems, compressed air, fire protection, building management systems, and other plant facilities
•    Coordinate with manufacturing, EHS, quality, engineering, procurement, construction management, and external consultants to ensure alignment of facility design and execution with business and operational need
•    Review and approve facility layouts, engineering drawings, equipment specifications, design packages, and technical documentation
•    Lead site development activities for greenfield/brownfield projects including master planning, infrastructure planning, permitting support, contractor mobilization, and construction readiness
•    Ensure minimal disruption to ongoing manufacturing operations during brownfield execution through detailed planning, phased implementation, and stakeholder coordination
•    Monitor and control project progress, budget, schedule, risks, and contractor performance to ensure successful project deliver
•    Prepare and present regular project updates, milestone reviews, and escalation items to senior leadership
•    Ensure full compliance with company engineering standards, HSE requirements, statutory regulations, and applicable building and environmental codes
•    Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and lessons learned across facilities and capital project execution

Required Experience 

•    Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related discipline)
•    Minimum 10+ years of experience in greenfield/brownfield projects, facilities engineering, capital project management, plant engineering, or industrial construction project execution
•    Demonstrated experience leading greenfield and/or brownfield facility projects in manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, food, chemical, consumer goods, or related environment

Required Knowledge & Abilities :

•    Strong technical knowledge of industrial facilities, plant infrastructure, and utility system
•    Good understanding of greenfield site development, brownfield expansion, facility integration, and construction management practices
•    Strong project management capability including scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractor management; PMP certification.
•    Experience in design, installation, construction, commissioning, and handover of industrial buildings, plant infrastructure, and utility system
•    Sound knowledge of building codes, plant layout, safety regulations, statutory compliance, and environmental requirement
•    Working knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and quality management systems
•    Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment
