PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Responsible for leading Talent Acquisition strategy and recruitment delivery for all Manufacturing hiring across India. Reporting to the South AP & Japan TA Manager, this role partners closely with business leaders, HR and external recruitment partners to attract, hire and retain talent across manufacturing operations while driving workforce planning, employer branding, campus engagement and recruitment excellence. The incumbent will provide strategic leadership while remaining hands-on to deliver critical hiring outcomes

Operating within a matrixed organization, the incumbent will provide leadership across complex business environments, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution to support current and future manufacturing growth, including potential expansion, new business ventures, joint ventures, and other workforce scaling initiatives.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Talent Acquisition Leadership

  • Lead Manufacturing Talent Acquisition strategy across India.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR to develop workforce and hiring plans.
  • Provide market intelligence, talent insights and recruitment recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes and candidate experience.

End-to-End Recruitment

  • Lead full lifecycle recruitment from requisition through onboarding.
  • Support hiring across Direct Labor (DL), Indirect Labor (IDL), technical, professional and leadership positions.
  • Maintain hands-on recruitment capability for critical, strategic or hard-to-fill roles.
  • Manage hiring performance through recruitment metrics and analytics.

Workforce Solutions & Vendor Management

  • Develop scalable hiring models to support manufacturing growth.
  • Lead recruitment delivery through RPO, staffing partners, agencies and direct sourcing channels.
  • Manage vendor performance, service levels and recruitment spend.
  • Ensure recruitment governance, compliance and operational excellence.

Employer Branding & Talent Attraction

  • Lead employer branding initiatives to strengthen Corning's talent market presence.
  • Drive campus hiring, internship and early career programs.
  • Build sustainable talent pipelines through educational institutions and external partnerships.
  • Support talent attraction initiatives across digital and traditional channels.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, hiring managers, HR partners and external vendors.
  • Influence stakeholders across a complex matrix organization.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on talent acquisition strategy and workforce solutions.
  • Effectively navigate organizational priorities and changing business needs.

Projects & Transformation

  • Support business expansion, new manufacturing initiatives and future workforce growth.
  • Participate in local, regional and global Talent Acquisition projects.
  • Contribute to Talent Acquisition transformation and capability-building initiatives.

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Experience

  • 10+ years of Talent Acquisition experience within manufacturing (both greenfield & brownfield), industrial and multinational environments, with experience in large-scale manufacturing hiring preferred.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning.
  • Experience leading in-house, RPO and agency recruitment models.
  • Strong experience supporting Direct Labor and Indirect Labor hiring.
  • Experience leading employer branding, campus hiring and talent attraction initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior business and HR leaders.

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to balance strategy with hands-on execution.
  • Strong communication, influencing and project management skills.

This is a newly established role supporting Corning's manufacturing talent acquisition structure in India and offers significant opportunity to influence recruitment strategy, workforce planning, talent attraction, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, leadership maturity, and strategic thinking while partnering effectively across business, HR, and Talent Acquisition functions to support current and future organizational growth.
