As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Using unique expertise in the fields of materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry and biology, the segment provides innovative solutions that improve productivity and enable breakthrough discoveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for MRO (maintenance repair and operations) and/or ORM (operations resource management)
- Protects Intellectual Property
- Ensures that Corning meets compliance with regional trade compliance regulations in an optimal manner
- Purchasing administration
- Direct contact with suppliers to determine materials expedition and on time delivery
- Assures that supplier is up to date with their information and necessary specifications
- Revise requisitions in paper, for to confirm that purchase orders it’s entered correctly with necessary supports, account numbers and material/service description.
- Administrates all Purchasing department information (PO, PO requisitions, invoices in People Soft System)
- Work with Corporate and plant, for best purchasing process
- Information accuracy maintenance for our suppliers and purchasing specifics in all electronical platforms or electronical systems.
Experiences/Education - Required
- B.S. or equivalent engineering degree and / or
- English conversational level
- Yellow Belt Certification preferred
- APICS/NAPM preferred
