Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

Provide administrative support to the Corning Optical Rotation Engineering (CORE) Program Manager in an efficient, proactive and quality manner.  Provide direction and oversight of workstream members to build the CORE Program into the primary recruiting pipeline of technical talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain documentation such as employee profiles, rotation plans, learning plans, overview presentations, program one pager and program data tables.
  • Provide written and verbal communication regarding program information with candidates, team members, rotation managers, site managers, mentors, and leadership.
  • Schedule meetings and travel arrangements for program team members.
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data such as program statistics, program targets, recruiting efficiency, and rotation schedule efficiency.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelors Degree in related field.
  • >3 years project leadership or administrative experience with strong computer skills.
  • Experience working in corporate environments.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to take the lead, anticipate needs, and influence outcomes effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a professional composure and consistently deliver high-quality work, including during variations of work schedule, priorities, and under tight deadlines.
  • Detail oriented and conscientious.
  • Capacity to listen effectively, make informed decisions, and take action with minimal supervision.
  • Handle confidential information and able to use sound judgment.
  • Professional appearance and behaviors.
  • Highest level of interpersonal skills including tact, patience, flexibility, and courtesy.
  • Establish, grow, and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Experience coordinating people.
  • Communication skills across all organizational levels.
