Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
The primary objective of the HR Business Partner (HRBP) is to align human resources strategies and practices with the overall business goals and objectives. The HRBP will act as a strategic advisor, consultant, and coach to management and employees within their designated business units/areas. They will be responsible for driving organizational effectiveness, fostering a positive work environment, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Encompass HR processes, as well, provide HR guideline to internal clients aligned to plant staff structure.
- E2E process for new salaried employees
- Provide C&B and org design structure guideline to assigned internal clients.
- Provide Labor Relations guideline and/or monitoring labor relations framework to assure a standardized environment.
- Oversee hourly hiring process.
- Analyze trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted solutions, programs, and policies.
- Implement and manage risk management policies and procedures to create a safe and compliant work environment.
- Support and leading HR initiatives, projects, and programs aligned with organizational goals, ensuring effective communication and implementation of HR initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Deliver high-quality HR services within the corporate framework and implementing strategic HR programs and initiatives.
- Collaborate with leaders and managers to develop and execute talent management strategies, including recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
- Partner with clients for a proper management of employee performance (performance evaluation, feedback, and development plans)
- Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, conducting diversity analysis, and implementing initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace.
- Ensure compliance with legal documentation pertaining to employees, such as contracts and termination documents.
- Support organizational change management, ensure effective communication and change implementation, and support employees in adapting to new policies and practices.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration or related discipline.
- English proficiency (intermediate to advanced)
- Master’s degree in related area and/or HR certification (preferred)
Experiences/Education - Desired
- +2 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist combined)
- Experience supporting multiple client groups and/or supporting matrix organizations.
- Experience administering HR policies, programs, and practices.
- Experience facilitating training sessions.
- Project management experience (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean)
- Labor relations knowledge (preferred)
- Data Analytics
- AI tools knowledge
