  1. Purpose of Position:   
  1. Supports Plant HR Manager to ensure that his/her plant has the right number and type of talent to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results; Ensures plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates as “One Corning” in support of Corning’s values; Assists in achieving or beating budgetary objectives in support of top quartile performance objectives while maintaining appropriate levels of HR service delivery; Assists in successful implementation of global HR business processes within the plant; Ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines
  2. This position will be exposed to various parts of the business, as well as, all areas of Human Resources such as Union and Confidential Recruiting, Labor Relations Compensation, Benefits, T&A, T&D (talent development)                                                                      


  1. Responsibilities and tasks of the position.
  1. Assisting with the administration of employee compensation.
  2. Participating in HR and business unit projects.
  3. Assisting in the communication and implementation of HR initiatives, policies and programs.
  4. Involvement in the recruitment process and act as the main liaison with Talent Sourcing.
  5. Temporary Employees administration.                                                                                                           


Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.


 A. Education.

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or related discipline.                                                 


       B. Work Experience.

  • 5 + years of experience in the HR area
  • Talent management experience
  • Compensations and benefits experience
  • Excellent Microsoft office (power point, excel) skills
  • Experience with administering HR policies, programs and practices.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.                              .
  • Advanced English (speaking and written)
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, able to work independently when needed, flexible, discreet and able to handle confidential Must be strongly proficient with Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
