Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Role Purpose

A Communication Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance an organization's internal communication efforts. They play a crucial role in shaping the organization's messaging, ensuring consistency, and fostering positive relationships with various stakeholders. This role also emphasizes the creation of engaging and impactful internal content to effectively reach and connect with audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Creation: Develop engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including newsletters, tv screens, blue alert chats, and internal communications. Emphasize crafting content that is optimized for internal platforms.

  • Messaging Strategy: Craft clear and compelling messages that align with the organization's goals, values, and target audience. Ensure consistent messaging across all communication platforms and social media platforms.

  • Internal Communication: Develop and execute internal communication plans to keep employees informed and engaged. Organize town hall meetings, workshops, and other internal events to facilitate communication.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and community members. Foster positive relationships and address their communication needs.

  • Brand Management: Ensure that all communication materials align with the organization's brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent and professional brand image.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze communication efforts' effectiveness using various tools and metrics. Adjust strategies based on insights to optimize outcomes.

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.

  • 2 - 5 years of corporate internal communication experience, public relations, journalism, or communications-related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.

  • Proficiency in various communication tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office, social media management tools (Google Analytics, META), Adobe, email makerting softwares.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various projects and deadlines.

  • Creativity in developing innovative communication strategies and content.

  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in communication and social media.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

  • English: Intermidate - Advance

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining consistent and accurate messaging.
