Job Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the key logistics activities within the plant—Shipping, Receiving, or Internal Material Flow to Production. This role requires a higher level of responsibility than an operator or forklift driver, as it directly impacts customer service, production schedules, and financial performance. The coordinator ensures that materials and finished goods are moved efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Coordination: Oversee daily logistics activities in the assigned area (Shipping, Receiving, and/or Internal Material Flow) to ensure smooth operations.
Team Leadership: Assist in coordinating and guiding employees within the designated logistics area to meet operational goals.
Service & Performance Impact: Ensure logistics processes align with customer requirements, minimizing delays and optimizing service levels.
Production Support: Manage material flow to ensure uninterrupted production operations, avoiding material shortages or bottlenecks.
Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in logistics workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company policies in logistics activities.
Inventory & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and material movements to support inventory control and financial reporting.
Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues related to material availability, delays, or process inefficiencies in collaboration with relevant teams.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate and support a team effectively.
• Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory management, and material flow.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software is a plus (SAP).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Understanding of safety and compliance requirements in logistics operations.
