What is your role?
As a Senior Process Engineer focused on Machine Learning and Automation, you will lead the development and implementation of AI-driven solutions that improve engineering and manufacturing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate repetitive activities, optimize workflows, and increase productivity through advanced analytics and digital technologies. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency, process standardization, and cost reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify repetitive and manual activities suitable for automation within the Industrial Engineering department.
- Analyze current workflows and quantify opportunities for labor reduction, cycle time improvement, and error reduction.
- Design, develop, validate, and implement machine learning and AI-based solutions for engineering and manufacturing support processes.
- Work closely with department personnel and cross-functional teams to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Develop pilot projects, proof of concepts, and business cases for AI/ML applications.
- Standardize and document automated processes, validation methods, and user instructions.
- Monitor implemented solutions to ensure performance, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Establish data requirements, data quality controls, and model performance metrics.
- Support integration of digital tools with existing engineering and manufacturing systems when applicable.
- Provide technical guidance and training to users of new automated solutions.
- Lead or support continuous improvement and digital transformation initiatives aligned with business goals.
- Prepare technical reports, project updates, and presentations for management review.
- Ensure compliance with quality, confidentiality, and data security requirements.
- Manage moderate broad scope projects with multiple variables, unclear solution paths, and several stakeholders
- Support global standardization processes/projects when applicable
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or automation environments.
- Proven experience developing and implementing Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or automation solutions with measurable business impact.
- Strong programming skills with experience in data analysis and automation tools.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.
- Ability to lead multiple projects and work effectively in dynamic, cross-functional environments.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Experience with OCR, RPA, Power BI, Tableau, or similar digital platforms.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience integrating manufacturing data and supporting digital transformation initiatives
