Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Improve and sustain maintenance reliability and low maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Root Cause and Reliability Analysis and taking ownership for ongoing corrective action tracking, implementation, and follow up to ensure that all Root Cause analysis projects are documented.
- Analyzing equipment performance, failure data, and corrective maintenance history to develop and deploy engineering solutions, improved maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance optimization, and other reliability techniques.
- Key roll designing maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
- Evaluating effectiveness of maintenance procedures and adjusting as necessary to increase the lifetime of our assets.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Technical degree in Engineering
- Engineering degree (preferred)
- Work experience
- 0-2 years of experience in industrial maintenance area.
- Experience developing maintenance strategies.
- Experience handling Computerizing Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Project management
- Understanding and experience of Lean Manufacturing
- Management and control of maintenance costs
- Spare parts and tooling management
- Root cause analysis experience
