Role Purpose
As a Senior IT Engineer Manufacturing Systems & Infrastructure, you will serve as the technology cornerstone of our Reynosa manufacturing facility, ensuring the reliability, security, and continuous evolution of the IT systems that power production. You will take ownership of both infrastructure (servers, networks, firewalls) and application development, bridging the gap between IT and the manufacturing floor to maximize operational uptime and efficiency. Working closely with production, engineering, and global IT teams, you will identify and implement innovations that reduce costs, enhance manufacturing execution, and elevate the plant's digital capabilities, directly impacting how we deliver quality products to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and continuously improve the plant's IT infrastructure including Windows Server environments, LAN/VLAN architecture, and firewall policies, ensuring secure, scalable, and high availability systems that support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Lead the enhancement of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) by identifying performance gaps, implementing targeted improvements, and collaborating with production and engineering teams to maximize Total Available Uptime (TAU) and operational efficiency.
- Design, develop, and deploy custom applications and automation tools using modern platforms (Python, .NET/C#, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Microsoft Power Apps) that streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and integrate seamlessly with manufacturing systems.
- Champion IT driven cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining rigorous documentation, cybersecurity compliance, and alignment with both global IT standards and local regulatory requirements.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of IT experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations environments, with a clear track record of solving production impact issues.
- Solid, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated experience with LAN/VLAN network setup and firewall configuration and management in an industrial or enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language or development platform: Python, .NET/C#, Java, JavaScript/Node.js, or Microsoft Power Apps with demonstrated application to real business or operational problems.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, required for cross-functional collaboration with global IT and business teams.
- Strong project management and problem solving skills proven ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
