What is your role?

 Support the design, development, fabrication, and implementation of fixtures, tooling, and equipment solutions for NPI and manufacturing processes. This position works closely with FED engineers and cross-functional teams to create CAD models, drawings, prototypes, and technical documentation while assisting in equipment validation, deployment, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What will you do? 

  • Create and update 3D CAD models, drawings, and technical documentation for fixtures, tooling, and support equipment.
  • Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of fixtures and equipment solutions.
  • Operate and maintain resin and filament 3D printers to support prototyping activities.
  • Assist engineers and technicians in prototype development, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
  • Support fixture trials and production floor validations with NPI, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering records in accordance with company standards.
  • Assist with equipment installation, startup, and operator training activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Basic proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of mechanical components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience or willingness to operate resin and filament 3D printing equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

 

What do you need?

  • Associate degree, Technical Degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, mechanical design, CAD drafting, process improvement, fixture development, or equipment support.
  • Advanced English.

 

What would make you stand out?

  • Experience supporting NPI programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with fixture fabrication, assembly, and validation activities.
  • Knowledge of machining, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
  • Experience using SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience working with technical documentation and engineering change processes
