Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

Purpose of Position.        

Involves the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of all activities and support required for inventory control in the region.

 

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

  • Implement regional inventory control strategies linked to the business strategies and regional supply chain strategies for Optical Connectivity Solutions (OCS)
  • Works with finance to ensure consignment location inventory requirements are met
  • Cross functional collaboration to address inventory accuracy, storage, transaction issues
  • Create, distribute, and manage inventory accuracy reports
  • Lead team to execute physical inventory accuracy counts
  • Implement best practices and identify gaps for the storage of goods
  • Works with plants to drive the elimination of SLOB material

 

Education.

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Technical, Business or Supply chain
  • Master’s in business or supply chain (Desired)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain
  • Experience in managing a team of supply chain professionals
  • Experience in project management and superior organization skills
  • Cycle Count and material movem
  • Supply Chain / APICS certification
  • LEAN and/or six Sigma certification or equivalent experience
