Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Performs a variety of technical duties and activities including experimental procedures, collection of data from manufacturing process, data analysis and graphical analysis. May be involved with measurement labs and/or customer data to help engineers resolve customer complaints or improve manufacturing yields.
Responsibilities
- Create, improve, and execute measurements request from production issues. Through CMM and VMM programs, test concepts (models, set-ups, simulation, and test) for components, assemblies, devices, and systems in consultation with relevant supervision
- Able to create testing methods and document it for inspection standardization 24/7.
- Able for communicate results and requirements to all level partners.
- Actively participate, collaborate, and comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations, as well customer specific requirements related to quality assurance through management of dimensional reports, (Full Article Inspection, Critical Characteristics inspection, MSA and capability analysis)
Knowledge and Requirements
- English: Write and read desirable.
- Scholarship: Highschool technical degree, Professional degree desirable (mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, or similar)
- Experience: 3-5 year of experience in similar
Skills
- Strong management and programing of CMM using Calypso software and Zone3/Measure mind
- Strong knowledge of GD&T
- Data analyst for statistical studies (full MSA, process capability estimation (PPK, CPK)
- Uncertainty estimation
- Statistical knowledge (SPC)
- Knowledge in Minitab
