Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

The position is responsible for supporting the Company's health and safety system by assisting the doctor in medical admission processes and addressing the health and medical needs of all employees. This includes providing medical support to workers, promoting the Company’s 24/7 Health System, and collaborating on activities such as special medical evaluations, health campaigns, and tasks related to Occupational Health. The role also involves assisting in the implementation of the Occupational Health System by conducting medical exams for new hires and periodic evaluations, enrolling employees in occupational surveillance programs, scheduling regular or special exams, and ensuring effective communication to guarantee legal compliance. Additionally, the position ensures adherence to applicable health regulations during working hours.

Responsabilities

  • Assist the doctor in medical situations such as accidents, prevention, and treatment of common or occupational illnesses.
  • Manage the medical surveillance program for personnel exposed to occupational risks, in accordance with Mexican regulations and corporate standards, including scheduling, conducting, documenting, and reporting results, as well as supporting pre-employment and special examinations (e.g., grade changes, random drug testing).
  • Implement Preventive Medicine Programs as part of the Annual Health Plan, including campaigns, management of chronic conditions, vaccination drives, prenatal care, nutrition programs, and more.
  • Communicate with operational, support, and administrative staff on health-related services, activities, and initiatives.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure the medical department operates in compliance with Mexican regulations, including medication control, visit logs, first-aid kit and medical equipment inspections, medical record management (onboarding/offboarding reports), handling employee disability forms (IMSS), and meeting STPS requirements.
  • Actively promote and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize health department processes.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
  • Work Experience:
    • 3–5 years of experience in:
      • Occupational Health – Manufacturing Industry.
      • Public Health Institutions.
      • Private Hospitals.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Excellent professional appearance.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with all personnel levels.
    • Basic understanding of English is desirable.
