Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
Provide administration, expertise, and practical support for our Information Security (IS) efforts in all OCS locations (AP, EMEA, NA). Ensuring IS standards and governance processes are followed with the OCS. Assist the OCS IS Manager with technology, engineering and manufacturing teams during the introduction and deployment of new technologies to protect our trade secrets. Execute the foundational IS administrative tracking and reporting of activities across the division to ensure adherence to the division processes. This includes but is not limited to report cards. Will participate in audits and reviews of implementations. This role requires working within complex organization structures at each location, division and corporate level. Accomplishing these goals requires working in a matrix organizational structure with plant leadership/IS councils, Division IS, Corporate IS, Security, IT and HR teams to address issues and drive improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Reports to Optical Connectivity Solutions (OCS) Division Information Security Manager.
- Work with corporate information security contacts to deploy company driven strategy and initiatives throughout OCS’s technology and manufacturing locations.
- Assist and guide plant information security leads & councils in all locations.
- Assist in development of comprehensive assessment of our information security vulnerability within all OCS locations. Support the creation of standardized IS audit process and implementation across all OCS locations.
- Assist the management of IS governance to ensure IS standards, Global program initiatives and Global metrics are being implemented, maintained, improved, and sustained.
- Assist technology teams during equipment installations to review IS plans and ensure that all key threats have been identified and mitigated.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Minimum AS – IT Information Systems, Data Tracking tools
- Cyber security experience
- > 5 years of desired experience in business administration
- Certification in Security+, CISSP or Associate of (ISC)2
- International exposure.
- Technical aptitude. Previous experience working in a technology-based company
- Experience in management of Data Management using Microsoft tools like Power Automate, Power Bi, Sharepoint and Office products
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a must
