As a leading developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products for 100 years, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers seeking new approaches to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and compress timelines in the drug discovery process. Role Purpose
To drive the development of technical and operational talent within the plant by designing and executing training strategies that reinforne Corning´s culture of safety, quality and innovation. This role plays critical part in ensuring that every employee is equipped with the skills and knowledge required to perform with excellence, adapt to emerging technologies, and actively contribute to continuos improvement.
Additionally, the role is responsible for supporting and attending internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and corporate requirements, and continuously improving training processes based on audit outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure plant’s strategy completion on training programs.
- Ensures training budget as favorable.
- Ensures to meet all the training needs annually.
- Establishes and maintains a presence on the plant leadership to keep close attention on the pulse of the organization.
- Research external market practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to better meet corporate, business, function and employee needs.
- Recommends areas for standardization of HR programs/processes/policies, as appropriate, to reduce complexity of administration and associated cost.
- Monitors and maintains integrity of data contained in HR systems for which he/she is responsible.
- Attend training audits with the STPS
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachellor Degree: Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Psychology or equivalent.
- 2-4 years of experience in staff training in manufacturing plants
- Previous experience attending ISO audits
- Managing teams
- Microsoft Office
- On-site position
Experiences/Education - Desired
- Summer Intern experience/progressive experience within the field of quality
- Process engineering experience
- Project Team Leadership
- Shift supervisory experience
