PEX Portfolio Admin.

Purpose of Position.        

  1.  Support the PEx Manager to maintain a healthy portfolio and to identify roadblocks that could prevent us from meeting our objectives. Monitor and control the portfolio to keep the team and management up to date on the progress of projects..
  2. Mention the major responsibilities and tasks of the position.
  1. Determine financial impact of projects
  2. Follow up with leaders to make sure projects stay on track    
  3. Be accountable for the timely completion of many projects simultaneously. 
  4. Continuous improvement sponsor
  5. Be accountable for the timely completion of assigned projects.  
  6. Determine financial impact of projects
  7. Follow up with leaders to make sure projects stay on track   
  8. Report results on weekly and monthly basis  
  9. Drive brainstorming sessions to identify potential projects
  10. Identify roadblocks that could affect the health of the portfolio
  11. Enter project details in the tracking systems

  1. Internal.
    •   PEx Manager, Operations Managers, Production Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Internal Project Stakeholders, Site PEx Champion, Divisional PEx Champion, Project leaders   
  2. External.
    •     None

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

Education

  •     Engineering BS Degree or equivalent              

Work Experience

  • 5-10 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in engineering areas.
  • Successes on past engineering projects.
  • Demonstrate PC skills using software packages.
  • Bilingual

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders

  • Project management experience (3-5 projects at the same time)

  • Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing: VSM, Line Balancing
  • Green or Black Belt Certification
  • Lead time, Downtime and efficiency improvement Expert
  • Leader of Improvement Team creation and tracking
  • Expertise on Project documentation
  • Portfolio management
  • Sponsor of 5S, Visual management and Standardized Work
  • Track PEX/Lean Metrics
