Planning Supervisor

Purpose of Position.   

  1. Administrates front line supervision to the planning department. Provide the necessary guidance and supervision in order to meet customer’s expectations of on time delivery as well as meeting all of the department objectives, by the development of personnel and proper management of the available resources.          

 

Responsibilities and tasks of the position.

  1. Supervises daily work activities of planning department.
  2. Administrate the workload and training given to each planner, as well as providing the required leadership to the planning team.
  3. Guide group in problem solving and decisions making to improve overall department performance.
  4. Directs group for continuos inventory reduction and increase on inventory turns, on all raw materials and finished goods.
  5. Participates in all marketing forecast meetings in order to provide feedback on the product’s demand.
  6. Communicates issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitation or material shortages, to appropriate levels within the organization.
  7. Promote, support and follow up on department & company goals (e.g. Promise of Delivery and Customer Sensitivity).
  8. Responsible for the group performance on undated orders, line items dated beyond the on-site date, shop orders late deliveries, late orders on backlog, raw material shortages, MRP, MPS, and address customer emergencies as required.  
  9. Active participation on the daily production meeting. 
  10. Other tasks assigned by the Planning Manager       
     

Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

  • Business Administration Degree.                                                        
  • SAP handle
  • Previous Supervisor experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years planning experience
  • Customer service oriented
  • Analytical team player with great problem solving skills        
  • Fully bilingual.
  • Computer skills
