Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
- Manage projects under appropriate supervision and direction from responsible engineer or supervisor.
- Create monitoring system that ensure continuous improvement metrics
- Led action item to improve process trough Lean tools
- Implement quick actions in order to establish process improvements
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate approval process for any changes
- Participate in kaizen blitz of material flow improvement and layout changes
- Keep procedures updated
- Promote Lean fundamentals by selecting tools and applying in Kaizen Blitz
- Active participation either leading or monitoring kaizen blitz development his/her area of responsibility
- Coordinate and lead continuous improvement programs (kaizen & 5S)
- Ensure good performance metric of continuous improvement programs (kaizen & 5s) through kaizen blitz, projects initiatives, etc.
- Track monthly performance metrics and report to plant leadership
- Provide timely feedback to his/her supervisor on project status
- Be accountable for the timely completion activities or projects
- Individual contributor, lead or team member with clear direction provided by responsible Engineer or Supervisor manage complex scope projects/workstreams/process issues with few variables, identifiable solution, few stakeholders
- Support administrative tasks, such as documenting and releasing processes (MPIs, Vas)
- Lead low complexity projects under Engineering supervision and direction, executing actions based on established methodologies

- Industrial, Mechatronics, Technical Career
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing process
