Production Planning Coordinator

 

Purpose of Position. 

  1. Schedule production and maintain the raw material and orders flow.
  2. Be the facilitator between production and planning.  
  3. Support department and organization growth by analyzing constraints and suggesting projects to implement solutions, as well as meeting the department objectives on low level complexity product families.

 

Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

  1. Schedule the customer orders giving a promise ship date, according to the capacity of the lines, and raw material availability.
  2. Secure orders and components flow in a timely manner, according to customer requirements.
  3. Secure production continuity by releasing replacement orders, TECO orders, fiber, ribbon and subunit replacements, etc.
  4. Daily reports tasks.
  5. Help the production planner coordinate any activity needed.
  6. Send production updates to SC team.
  7. Attend production meetings when the production planner is not available.
  8. Other tasks assigned by Planning Supervisor

Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.

A. Education.

  • Technical Degree or Bachelor's Business Administration Degree or related field                                                      

B. Work Experience.

Planning assistant

C. Additional Skills.

  • 50% Bilingual
  • Problem solving & good analytical skills
  • Computer Skills  
  • Excel
  • Desirable knowledge in SAP systems         

 

Extraordinary Activities.

Contribute and participate in Internal and External Audits in department, as well as being responsible for the good results of such.  Some examples of Audits are ISO, TL, 5's, Safety, Sarbox, among others.
