Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.
Role Purpose
The Employee Services Coordinator supports Plant HR Manager to ensure the plant maintains a high-quality employee services. Ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines regarding administration and payment of Cafeteria and Transportation services, supports campus events committee, and maintain an optimized process flow on employee services.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of the E2E process for cafeteria and transportation services of assigned industrial park / locations.
- Participates in the campus event committee and supports annual events plan for the RY campus through event coordination, logistics, and administrative activities.
- Identify and communicate cafeteria opportunities, support process improvements, and monitor cafeteria service.
- Manage transportation services and translate employee needs to transportation solutions in accordance with HRM guidance.
- Report out weekly/monthly employee services status: cafeteria, transportation, and events.
- Work with GSM and Finance to ensure compliance with Corning processes and vendors regulations.
Experiences/Education - Required
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, industrial/labor relations preferred, or related field.
- Intermediate English language skills.
Experiences/Education - Desired
- +2 years of HR experience (generalist/specialist) or equivalent.
- Traceable experience organizing and deploying plant/campus events.
- Traceable experience managing suppliers and/or purchasing processes at locations with +500 employees.
- Experience working with cafeteria vendors:
- Manage purchase orders, generate service quotes.
- Manage employee feedback regarding cafeteria service and translate information to identify/report complaints.
- Mobilizing teams to qualify and report VoC to internal and external customers.
- Experience working with Transportation vendors:
- Traceable experience understanding cycle time of transportation/buses process flow.
- Managing purchase orders.
