Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

As a Sr. Procurement CAPEX Specialist, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives for complex global commodities, ensuring alignment with business, manufacturing, and supply chain strategies. This role plays a critical part in delivering value, optimizing supplier performance, and enabling long-term growth.

What will you do?

 

  • Lead strategic sourcing plans based on demand forecasts and market trends
  • Manage supplier bid processes (RFPs, RFQs) and evaluate proposals
  • Negotiate with key suppliers to maximize cost, quality, and service value
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across global markets
  • Drive supplier performance management and service level agreements
  • Provide market intelligence to support sourcing decisions
  • Ensure compliance with global procurement policies and standards
  • Partner cross-functionally with business, supply chain, and manufacturing teams

What do you require?

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing environments
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate in a global, matrix environment
