Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose of Position.

Develop, implement, and maintain training programs to meet the requirements of production, ISO 9001,TL 9000 and STPS.       

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise direct and indirect employees.
  2. Plan, implement, and maintain internal and external training programs for union and confidential employees. Register training programs to SPTS.
  3. Develop procedures, training manuals, checklists, evaluations, tests, and other documents as required. Update them to reflect process or procedure changes.
  4. Give training, administer and grade tests, provide feedback on tests scores.
  5. Maintain the training data base, training records, and training matrices.
  6. Carry out operator certification and rectification activities                                               

Experiences/Education - Required

  • A. Education.

    •  A degree is strongly recommended, but work experience will be considered.                                      

    B. Work Experience.

    • Organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple activities, able to complete them on time.
    • Experience in ISO 9001, TL 9000 is a plus.
    • Able to read and comprehend technical documents.
