Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

What will you do?

As Global Supply Chain Transformation Program Manager, you will lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives across Corning’s Optical Communications Solutions organization. You will define supply chain strategies, align senior stakeholders, and translate business priorities into scalable solutions that improve efficiency, agility, and customer value. This role offers the opportunity to influence processes, technology, data, and ways of working across a global organization.

Major responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional supply chain programs from strategy and business case development through implementation and benefits realization.
• Define program vision, execution plans, and solution roadmaps across forecasting, planning, procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, and logistics.
• Partner with business leaders, global subject matter experts, technology teams, and project leaders to standardize processes, optimize systems, and deliver measurable operational improvements.
• Drive digital transformation and continuous improvement by applying advanced supply chain solutions, lean principles, data-driven analysis, and structured change management.
• Communicate program progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels while resolving root causes and guiding corrective actions.

What do you need to have?

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of progressive supply chain experience, including leadership of complex programs or projects.
• Broad expertise across supply chain operations, including planning, forecasting, procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation, or logistics.
• Demonstrated experience using ERP systems and advanced supply chain technologies to improve operational performance.
• Strong program and project management capabilities, including experience with structured methodologies, tools, governance, and execution planning.
• Proven success leading digital transformation, large-scale process optimization, or enterprise supply chain improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
• A continuous improvement mindset, adaptability, and the ability to influence across functions and organizational levels.

Preferred qualifications

• PMP, Six Sigma, Lean, CSCP, or another relevant professional certification.
