Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Supply Chain Program Lead

Position Overview

The Supply Chain Program Lead is responsible for developing a roadmap that supports the integration of the assigned program to the existing supply chain business operations. The role will coordinate with different functions to ensure execution of the action plan as part of program roadmap: Global supply management, engineering, supply chain management, product planning, product line management, external manufacturing.

The manager will work closely with internal customers, internal suppliers and internal teams to optimize operations, mitigate program risks and meet the program objectives. This role oversees the full lifecycle of strategic initiatives, from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Routes program related needs to the right organizational functions
  • Establish the necessary metrics to measure performance in alignment with program goals
  • Demand modeling. Develop demand product deployment plans as the program progresses along the roadmap and milestones
  • Collaborates with program team to identify and mitigate material requirements risks and ensures supplier readiness to meet demand
  • Establish the material replenishment strategies for the products and components in scope
  • Carries out effective implementation of planning strategies to optimize inventory and service levels
  • Proposes changes to organization structures, skillset and competencies profiles in alignment with program needs
  • Collaborates with plant management to understands the staffing plans are in place to meet demand needs
  • Capacity modeling. Develop initial SIOP, S&OE capacity planning models anticipating planning systems updates
  • Drives consistency and sharing of best practices related to supply planning
  • Represent all Supply Chain functions within program team structure to drive alignment between supply chain capabilities and business objectives
  • Provides periodic program updates relevant for supply chain activities

Job Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • +5 years of supply chain related experience
  • Proven track record in supply chain management areas such as, supply/capacity planning, supply chain optimization, project management
  • Experience in collaboration with multiple functions such as product line management, global supply management, engineering
  • Fully bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Understanding of ERP and offline planning systems is preferred
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills at different levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience in driving supply chain improvements and achieving operational targets, with the ability to manage both strategic and tactical aspects of planning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
