Data Engineer
IT Manufacturing Service Line



In this role, Data engineer is responsible for applying data cleansing, enrichment/contextualization, and integration of data from multiple data sets to provide a end to end view of the manufacturing data. They will also start with landed raw data from various manufacturing sources and create automated data processing pipeline to create analytics ready data sets. They will also be finding trends in data sets and developing algorithms to help make raw data more useful to the process engineering and Data science team. Role also requires excellent communication skills to work across departments to understand insights partners want from our data and model datasets accordingly.



  • Analyze and understand various manufacturing and supporting data sources
  • Design and Develop methods collect and connect data from different manufacturing sources
  • Support and monitor data pipelines
  • Design and Develop methods to filter/cleanse, enrich, and contextualize data
  • Design and Develop methods/algorithms to integrate data to enable end to end traceability of products being manufactured
  • Work closely with data Scientists and process/equipment engineers to ensure the source data is aggregated and cleansed and ready for their consumption
  • Work with DevOps to build automated data pipelines
  • Create Dashboard and visualization using BI tools
  • Develop and support unit and integration test activities and assist with User Acceptance Testing
  • Willing to be on off hours call on a rotational basis

Education & Experience

  • BS/MS degree preferably in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields
  • 5+ Programming experience with a high-level language such as Python, Java or equivalent
  • 5+ years of programming experience with SQL
  • 5+ years of experience working, contributing to development of manufacturing execution systems and/or inspection and metrology systems and/or developing in SCADA layer
  • 5+ years of experience with relational databases and data modelling

Other Qualifications

  • Experience with pipelines, job scheduling and workflow management
  • Strong relationship building, technical collaboration and communication skills
  • Experienced in managing work with distributed teams
  • Must demonstrate a proven willingness to go the extra mile, to take on the things that need to be done and maintain a positive attitude that can adapt to change
