Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

 

The Total Productive Maintenance Manager is responsible for sustaining and expanding Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across the OCS Division.  They will serve as a Leader, Strategist, Change Agent and Coach to train site leadership teams on effective deployment of key TPM strategies and processes aligned with Corporate and Divisional strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Deploy, Communicate, and Manage TPM strategy across all TPM Champions & Regional Engineering Managers
  • Develop training and build capability for each of the TPM Pillars
  • Lead a continuous improvement culture by leveraging capabilities such as: Centralize Standardize Control (CSC), Digital Transformation, LEAN and Problem Solving
  • Update and sustain all TPM documentation in Windchill on a periodic basis (once a year)
  • Lead, teach and coach others on implementing TPM capability across the Division
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring a clear understanding of TPM principles and objectives

 

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Able to work across cultures and departments
  • Lean training
  • Technical English language skills (read, write, and speak)
  • Strong understanding of TPM principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Proven experience in leading TPM or similar continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing
  • Project management skills / training with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to drive data-driven decisions.

 

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or Technical degree, Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics degree preferred  

 

Travel:

25% to 50% depending on office location; International travel is a must
